The Networking Shoot: A photoshoot that provides marketing and photography
to growing lifestyle brands. 4+ bloggers are asked to participate in an evening dedicated to them where they'll learn about new brands, try them out and be the subjects of the photoshoot. Each blogger later blogs about the experience showcasing all the amazing brands that helped sponsor the event and talk about their experience. It's the only shoot that helps brands grow through affordable photography and marketing. Learn more about it here.
I can't deny it. I love Christmas. Well, maybe not Christmas as much as the season; The lights, the decorations, the music, the Hallmark movies (did I just admit that?) and of course the cookies. There's something about this season that just warms the heart, and it's not just sitting by the fire every night. There are some struggles that come with this time of year, mostly the stress of finding the right gift for the people in your life. To help take away some of that stress the latest Networking Shoot highlights some amazing brands and products that will make the best gifts for the special people in your life (men and women alike).
If you're looking for the ultimate candles, and I mean ultimate, then you need the Pearl Street Lights soy candle in your life. As a candle lover myself, I was thrilled to have stumbled upon them at the Denver Flea Market this summer. While they have a ton of flavors, including some special Christmas editions, it's their Tabacco Bay Leaf flavor that is a favorite in our house (my fiance can't get enough of it). Their breathtaking flavors aren't their only amazing feature, they're also wood-wick candles. When you burn them the wick makes a crackling sound making it sound like there's a real fire burning.
If you didn't know about soy candles, let me tell you a few fun facts about these magical candles. Soy burns at a slower rate then regular wax candles, so your favorite candle will last a lot longer. One of the biggest reasons people are loving soy candles is that they don't burn off harmful chemicals into your home like regular wax candles are known to do. It's also an oil-based candle, meaning you can rub your finger on the candle and then yourself so that you smell like your candle and it won't hurt you.
This was the big gift I got my fiance for Christmas last year. It's not your usual morning coffee, but that's what makes it so special. Whiskey Barrel Coffee is aged in high-quality bourbon barrels, where over 20lbs of bourbon sits in the wood. This lost Bourbon, also known as "The devil's cut", is soaked up by the beans allowing for a bourbon taste without overpowering the coffee. Even if you mix some Whiskey Barrel Coffee with normal coffee (as it happens when some of the old beans are left in the grinder when regular coffee beans are put in), you'll still get a subtle bourbon flavor. But really, why dilute something so magical??
Whiskey Barrel Coffee comes in pure bottle form or as a mixed blend in small bags. The bottles (beautifully branded I might add) are all whiskey soaked beans. It's a little more expensive but worth every penny to get that amazing flavor. The blended bags make a great gift for the whiskey and coffee lovers in your life and they're at a more affordable price point. If you love supporting small local companies, then this is the perfect brand to add to your list for Christmas gift ideas. You can stop by their shop or order them online, check them out here.
It wouldn't be a party without appetizers and this gorgeous charcuterie board by Cheese & Provisions is the perfect platter to have at your holiday party or any party throughout the year. It would also make a wonderful hostess gift if you're wanting to go above and beyond this year.
With a mixture of cheese ranging from milky to sweet to slightly tart, you get a variety of flavors to mix with dried fruits and assorted meats. Any leftovers we had from this platter I brought out at Thanksgiving and everyone couldn't stop raving about how amazing this platter was (That's two parties that this charcuterie board was a huge success!)
If you're looking for a variety of size board or want to see what other offerings they have, you have to check out their shop in Denver. From shelves filled with provisions (beautifully displayed I might add) to the display of meat and cheeses to their amazing staff, you'll have the time of your life visiting in person. You might even learn a few new things and I'm sure you'll find the perfect gift or the perfect board for your Christmas party. See all that they have to offer on their website here.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Revo Sunglasses, they're in 75% of all the photos of me. This year there's, even more, to love with ski goggles and even more amazing styles of sunglasses for fashion or for the outdoors. What's better? Revo donates $10 from every sunglass to help those fighting for their sight.
What makes these glasses stand out from other sunglasses is their amazing polarization technology. Each different color lens was created with a different environment in mind, from the forest to the water to the mountains. The technology makes seeing in any situation a lit bit easier and always more stylish. And now with a ski goggle, you can see even better on the slopes while protecting your eyes from the harsh mountain sun (and let me tell you, it's intense!) Find your favorite pair of Revo's here.
While the Christmas Season isn't only about adding to our gift list, it is a season of giving and it can be hard coming up with the right gifts for the people we most care about in our lives. If these amazing products aren't in your price range this year then I suggest giving the gift of adventure from either the Katie Leigh Shop (Click here to check it out) or by spending quality time with the ones you love out in nature. Have a snowball fight, go ice skating, get away to the mountains or even have some hot chocolate by the fire while you watch "It's a Wonderful Life". Whether you give a physical gift or the gift of your presence, you'll be lighting up someone's Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you all and stay adventurous!
