My family is a close family. We love getting together at random times of the month for dinners or lunches and we always celebrate the holidays together even if we do it on the wrong day. Since we have multiple families to think about we trade off holidays each year but that just means us getting together a day late or a day early to celebrate with each other. So while I Christmas may not have been spent together on the correct day this year (those pictures to come), Thanksgiving was celebrated on the right day.
We have little traditions inside out Thanksgiving holiday including drinking soda’s out of bottles, watching Football and falling asleep, having my Grandmother come up and be with us and making the exact same foods every year . . . except for this year. My Boyfriend loves cooking and making everything taste like a gourmet meal. So when it came to making the potatoes, enhancing the cranberry sauce or wowing my family with port wine, chocolate and a Robert Redford dessert (which I like to call Wreck it Ralph, because for some reason I can’t ever remember it’s real name) he stepped up to make everything taste that much better.
With a new baby in the family, a new boyfriend, an uncle in town and a lot of inappropriate jokes made – you could say this was one of the best Thanksgivings to date.
