Let me preface this by saying I’ve never been good at staying in one direction.
To me there are always so many new things to see, experiences to try and knowledge to gain that even when I choose a path, I often end up turning around, finding a side street or just going off trail. I’m not good with directions.
I’ve run one form of a blog or another since I was in college. And while I’ve often put too much stress on myself in regards to it, I also love it. So it was surprising to me when a few weeks ago I realized how much I hated my blog.
There was no love in the writing or enthusiasm in the topics. It might have been plain to see.
As I sat thinking about the stress in my life (a couple of weeks out from my wedding) I had this “Ah-ha” moment where I realized I was creating the stress.
It was time to take a break and figure a few things out. What made me excited? What did I care about? And where was I adding value to other's lives? Obviously, it was all in front of me.
What I came to find is my love for health, wellness, and the spirit was what I always came back to. I read about it the most and talk about it the most, and it became clear to me that this was a topic I could dig into. Not only that but to teach the application of health and wellness to live a more adventurous lifestyle is all I could ever dream of and using my photography to showcase it was only a bonus.
That leaves us here. 2-months later, and a lot's changed (including my marital status!) You'll find brand new content on the blog including topics that hang on my four pillars of life - Mind, Body, Soul & Adventure. From learning the science of nutrition to finding ways to calm your anxiety to taking you on my adventures and showing you new ways to add movement to your life. This blog was meant to get you thinking and to help you find new tools to live your best adventure.
Welcome to Living Wild. My journal for living an adventurous life.
I’m glad you’re here.
