We're all doing it. Sitting down and thinking about what we want next year to look like. It always happens during the last few weeks of the year. We contemplate our goals for the next year, where we can be better people, what we want to give up and so on. I love this time of year for exactly this reason, and I've been doing so much soul searching and thinking about my own life.
The number one thing I've been contemplating and planning for is my business. When you're a business owner or a side hustler it's the thing that crosses your mind the most. I've broken down my plans into different categories with plans on how to grow and how to make things better. The place with the most work, which I assume is true for you, is my marketing strategy. We're all on tight budgets when it comes to marketing but it's the thing that matters most. Have a brand that looks and feels like your brand but is also professional, having a website that speaks directly to your ideal client and makes it clear what you do and of course having gorgeous photos that tell the story of your brand. All these things are important when it comes to your business and they all mean outsourcing.
The visuals that represent your brand are the first impression of your company. I for one will leave a website in less than a second if it doesn't look good. Investing in your business means that you believe in it enough for others to invest in too. That's the hard part, you've got to spend money to make money.
While there are plenty of places you can save money (free social scheduling sites like Planoly for Instagram Scheduling or Hootsuite for Twitter scheduling.) When it comes to the look of your company it's something that you should find the money to invest in it. This year I did a logo and website revamp for my own company and it's completely changed how I'm seen. I've gotten so many remarks on how great the new branding is and how well as matched who I am. Now, I'm thrilled to hand out my business cards and show off what my brand is all about.

Investing in the visuals of your brand will give you more confidence and help you sell yourself even more. But all these amazing new upgrades to your brand don't mean anything without the photos that show off your product or service and help better connect with your audience. The story that is unique to your business needs to be told with images and shown to the world. Photos are the key to helping your business grow and improve your presence on social.

I know there are a ton of things you could spend money on to invest in your brand and my suggestion is to invest in your graphic design - logo and website - and photography. Pictures are worth far more words than any post you could make. You'll need them when the magazines want to showcase your products, better photos will help you grow your social presence and make your website stand out even more!
